After a couple months of hard work, we are pleased to announce you the 14th edition of Camera Obscura photography magazine. This theme is on Commercial Photography and it has a carefully selected portfolio from 11 professional photographers in the field. It also has an introductory article on “The History of Advertising and Commercial Photography”, published with the approval of professor Patricia Johnston from Salem State College, USA. And, last but not least, it presents a very interesting project on commercial photography, the Shipler Collection, presented with the approval of Utah State Historical Society. Therefore, we wish to thank everyone who made this edition possible, starting with the former Camera Obscura team, Patricia Johnston, Doug Misner (Utah State Historical Society) and the 11 photographers that got very involved and are featured in this “project”: Lou Manna, Colin Cooke, Bill Brady, Paul Hartley, Dragos Borcanea, Clark James Mishler, Fabian Gabor, Melinda Nagy, Attila Soos, Steve Jones and Giuseppe Parisi. Of course, we wish to head the reader’s feedback on this edition and the following ones, either on the website or on the magazine’s mail (office@cameraobscura.ro).
Dupa multe luni de munca, avem placerea sa va anuntam aparitia editiei cu numarul 14 a revistei de fotografie Camera Obscura. Tema acestei editii este pe fotografia comerciala si contine selectia atenta a portofoliilor a 11 fotografi profesionisti din domeniu. De asemenea, contine si un articol introductiv despre “Istoria fotografiei comerciale si publicitare”, publicat cu acordul Patriciei Johnston, profesor la Colegiul de stat Salem, SUA. Si, nu in ultimul rand, prezinta un proiect foarte interesant despre fotografia comerciala, Colectia Shipler, publicat cu acordul Societatii istorice de stat din Utah. Drept urmare, dorim sa multumim tuturor celor care au facut posibila aparitia acestei editii, incepand cu fosta echipa Camera Obscura, Patricia Johnston, Doug Misner (de la Societatea istorica de stat din Utah) si cei 11 fotografi care s-au implicat cu dedicare si care sunt prezentati in acest numar: Lou Manna, Colin Cooke, Bill Brady, Paul Hartley, Dragos Borcanea, Clark James Mishler, Fabian Gabor, Melinda Nagy, Attila Soos, Steve Jones and Giuseppe Parisi. Evident, asteptam feedback-ul cititorilor privind aceasta editiei si urmatoarele, fie pe site, fie pe adresa de email a revistei (office@cameraobscura.ro).
