    Shots taken through a microscope don’t form a very popular cathegory of photography and are barelly considered an artistic form of photography. Still, photomicrography is pretty spectacular, not only because the images are usually very powerfull, but because it shows us (alien looking like)  microorganisms,mostly, pieces of the material world around us that we cannot see with the naked eye.
